Facing Death (Part 2)

Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby!

Today, we’re talking about facing death.

Billy Graham once said that the thing that amazed him most was the brevity of life. The death we see in our world reminds of the how SHORT life really is – and how FRAGILE it is. As James 4 reminds us, life is a vapor, and none of us is promised tomorrow.

But knowing death is a reality doesn’t mean we have to be gloomy. In fact, it can motivate us to make sure every moment in life counts for the Lord.

As Graham said, “There comes a moment when we all must realize that life is short, and in the end the only thing that really counts is not how others see us, but how God sees us.”

As Psalm 90:12 tells us, we should “number our days,” living each day to glorify God.

What else should the believer think about when facing death? We’ll discuss that another time.
