Today, we’re talking about Heaven.
The Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:19, “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” (KJV) That’s a pretty good description of just how bad things in this world can be – sickness, disease, societal conflict, war, and death are just some of the hardships we see in the world around us every day. But the great hope believers have is that one day we will not only be with Christ, but WE’LL ALSO BE LIKE HIM with glorified bodies in a perfect place!
Revelation 21:4 describes eternity with Christ this way: “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (KJV)
That’s something to look forward to!
Can a believer be too “heavenly-minded?” We’ll discuss that another time.
