What the Bible Says about Heaven (Part 3)

Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby!

Today, we’re talking about Heaven.

The Bible describes Heaven as a place of paradise, but it also describes Heaven as a place of REWARD for believers.

In fact, 1 Corinthians 3:8 tells us that “every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor.” (KJV)

Some of those rewards include THE CROWN OF LIFE (James 1:12) for those who love Christ, THE CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (2 Timothy 4:8) for those looking for His coming, and THE CROWN OF GLORY (1 Peter 5:4) for those who are faithful leaders in the church. Jesus Himself tells us, “[L]ay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupts, and where thieves do not break through nor steal” (Matthew 6:20 KJV).

But the best reward will be hearing Christ’s promised words to those who’ve truly followed His will: “Well done thou good and faithful servant.”

What else does the Bible say about Heaven? We’ll discuss that another time.
