Today, we’re talking about Heaven.
Heaven is the blissful, eternal reward for those in God’s family.
But what is Heaven really like?
Well, Scripture says just enough about Heaven to whet our appetites but no more. In fact, the Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 12 that when he was taken to Heaven, the only way he could describe it was to say that it was so wonderful he COULDN’T DESCRIBE IT!
But Scripture does give us a few glimpses of how amazing it will be … and it’s going to be GOOD!
As Randy Alcorn said, “We cannot anticipate or desire what we cannot imagine. That’s why, I believe, God has given us glimpses of Heaven in the Bible – to fire up our imagination and kindle a desire for Heaven in our hearts.”
What ARE some of those glimpses the Bible gives us of Heaven? We’ll discuss them another time.
