Today, we’re talking about Heaven.
How does a person get into Heaven? That’s an age-old question.
Well, John 14 records that when Jesus told the disciples He would soon ascend to Heaven to prepare a place for them, Thomas asked Him that very question: “How can we know the way [to get there]?” Jesus responded, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6 KJV) In other words, entrance to Heaven comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. You see, Christ’s sacrifice on the cross for our sins is the one way we can have a right relationship with God. Heaven’s entry fee was paid by Jesus, and it’s the only admittance ticket accepted at the pearly gates.
As D. L. Moody said, “If you don’t enter the kingdom of Heaven by God’s way, you cannot enter at all.”
