Today, we’re talking about Heaven.
Although the Bible describes Heaven as a literal place, some skeptics continue to dispute Heaven’s existence. For example, well-known naturalist of the past John Burroughs said, “The Kingdom of Heaven is not a place, but a state of mind.”
But there are problems with that view.
First, Scripture clearly states Heaven is the PHYSICAL LOCATION where God resides. For instance, Solomon, in his prayer dedicating the Temple, describes Heaven as God’s “dwelling place” FOUR TIMES!
Second, Scripture records people actually GOING TO HEAVEN! Enoch, Elijah, and Paul were all taken there. In fact, in John 6, Jesus said FOUR TIMES that he came down from Heaven, and in John 14 He said THREE TIMES that He was going back there! That should be enough times to get His point across – He was an eyewitness to Heaven’s reality!
