Today, we’re talking about the case for the God of the Bible.
A profound question that everyone wonders about at some point in life is, “What happens when I die?”
The world can’t answer this question with any certainty – or comfort. The best it can do is ignore the afterlife and focus on the “here and now.” The problem is what we all eventually realize – this life DOESN’T last forever. The false idea that there is no afterlife doesn’t offer any hope or consolation.
Only the God of the Bible tells us we can be sure about eternal life in Heaven – and avoid condemnation to Hell – through faith in Christ’s work on the cross.
As 1 John 5:13 says, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may KNOW that you have eternal life.”
And what are other reasons to believe in the biblical God? We’ll discuss that another time.
