Last Thursday, the Minocqua Brewing Super PAC, a far-left interest group, filed a lawsuit directly with the State Supreme Court alleging that Wisconsin’s school choice programs are unconstitutional. The petition asks the court to stop the program before the next school year. Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty immediately responded saying their attorneys are ready to defend this program that provides an educational choice for over fifty thousand students.

The petition claims our choice program is “decimating” public schools. But their facts are wrong. The funding disparity between the public school per student cost and the vouchers is significant, favoring public schools. Data continue to show that voucher students give taxpayers a great return, with these students as a group out-performing their public school peers in core subjects.
