When the Rapture Happens, Will the Holy Spirit Be Taken Away?

Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!

2 Thessalonians 2 teaches that when “he that hindereth hinders no longer,” then the Antichrist will come on the scene. They talk about the one who is hindering the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit in the body of Christ does hinder sin to a certain extent. For example, if you walk into a crowd of people talking and using vulgarity, and they look up and see you and stop and apologize for their speech.  That is the Holy Spirit in you restraining them from doing evil to a certain extent.  It is not an absolute restraint, but it is how we are the salt and light to this world.

There are three characteristics for the Godhead: omniscience (all-knowing), omnipotence (all-powerful), and omnipresence (always present). The Holy Spirit will never depart. He will be here for His ministry of convicting lost people to bring them to Christ.

As in the Old Testament days, He did not indwell in bodies of those that had become believers but came upon them for certain events and times of power. He never departs and is always present.

Jimmy DeYoung was a prophecy teacher and journalist who travelled the country and the world educating the Body of Christ of the future events foretold in God’s prophetic Word. His goal was to equip Christians with the knowledge and understanding of what God’s Word says will happen someday soon, so that they can make better decisions today. Dr. DeYoung went home to be with his Savior on August 15, 2021.
