If you have no borders, you have no country. This is a basic truth – there has to be a distinction between what is and is not the United States. President Biden has been unable to grasp this basic truth, and his open borders policy has resulted in unparalleled migration across our Southern border. To make matters worse, in California, Governor Newsom and the Democrat-controlled state government are providing every incentive for migrants to keep coming.
San Diego residents are faced with regular violations of their property and privacy, with migrants crossing through their backyards without warning. Brian Silvas, a California landowner, noted that migrants passing through his property have become so common, that his dogs no longer even bark at the intruders. “If I had the money, I would build my own wall right here!” Silvas said.
5 miles from Silvas’ property, Jerry and Maria Shuster are dealing with migrants in a way no American should have to. Border-crossers regularly camp out on their 17-acre border-adjacent property. They leave tents, discarded clothes, and trash on the Shuster’s private land. Migrant-built fires illuminate the night in their own backyard.
California is more concerned with pampering migrants than protecting the property rights of tax-paying American citizens. At the beginning of the year, an omnibus spending bill from California’s state house went into effect. SB 184 expanded California’s state-funded healthcare to approximately 700,000 illegal immigrants between the ages of 26 and 49. This will cost another 2.7 billion dollars per year.
California’s Medi-Cal healthcare program was already facing major doctor and staffing shortages in 2023. Adding hundreds of thousands of new participants, on the Californian taxpayer’s dime, is not only unwise but completely unjust.
California is in the age of migrant madness, and something needs to change soon. Biden’s disastrous border policies are erasing the meaning of America, and California’s lavish treatment of illegal immigrants is only intensifying the issue.
