Samuel Adams – November 20, 1772

Experience the American dream with today’s Patriot of the Past interview. I’m your host, John Gillespie.

It’s November 20, 1772. I’m visiting with Samuel Adams, the founder of the Sons of Liberty and is referred to as the Father of the American Revolution. I’m in Sam’s study, and he’s writing his famous pamphlet The Rights of the Colonists.

JG: “Mr. Adams, will you share your thoughts with us about freedom?”

SA: “John, the rights of the colonists may be best understood by simply studying the words of the greatest of all law givers. His teachings on freedom are clearly found throughout the New Testament.”
