Win and Needless Loss

The battle to save the unborn continues.  Here are two different states with two different outcomes.  The Kansas legislature passed a bill requiring medical care for babies who survive late-term abortions, but pro-abortion Governor Laura Kelly vetoed the bill.  A bipartisan vote to override the veto was successful.  In Nebraska lawmakers were working to protect unborn babies with heartbeats when State Senator Merv Riepe abstained from voting on the bill, allowing the Democrat filibuster to kill the bill.  Riepe, a Republican said he didn’t “want to be mean.”  His lack of vote allows babies in Nebraska to be killed by the thousands and he doesn’t want to be mean?!  Senator Riepe’s action was beyond mean, it was cruel and heartless.
