F. Michael Maloof is a former senior security policy analyst in the office of the Secretary of Defense. He is a staff writer for WND and G2 Bulletin and is the author of ‘ A Nation Forsaken: EMP: The Escalating Threat of an American Catastrophe’.

Vic began this edition of Crosstalk with details of retired military brass that have criticized President Obama for purging close to 200 officers. The concern among some is that he is weakening an armed forces whose moral is at an all-time low. It should also be noted that this purge appears to be taking place throughout the military with no regard for branch of service.

Why is this happening and what does this trend signify? Michael mentioned two CIA officers who were informed that if they testified before Congress they’d lose their jobs. Is it possible that such threats are an attempt to hide the real reason behind the failure at Benghazi?

Michael noted that one area of concern for officers has been the role of the Defense Department as a source for social experimentation. That breaks down into three areas of concern that he cited including the allowing of openly gay men and women, women in infantry and the rules of engagement. Could this be the reason why some officers are being released?

In response, former Florida Congressman Allen West is calling for congressional hearings into this matter as he feels some of the firings may be political.
