Contradictions in Genesis?

This is Ken Ham, CEO of the ministry behind the revolutionary Answers Bible Curriculum.

I often hear the claim that there are two contradictory creation accounts in Genesis. Skeptics claim Genesis one says God created the animals and then man, but chapter two says God created man and then the animals. Is this really a contradiction?

Well, this is an example of a translation error. Some translations read, “out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air.” But in the original Hebrew, context means this should be translated “the Lord God had formed” as many translations do translate it.

You see, when properly understood, there’s no contradiction in Genesis…or anywhere else in the Bible!
