Are the Ice Sheets Old?

Yesterday we learned that after the global flood described in Genesis, the conditions were perfect to form the ice sheets we now have at the poles. But many people claim those sheets are hundreds of thousands of years old.

Well, that claim comes from the belief that only one layer is laid down each year. So the number of layers gives you the age of the ice sheet. But consider this: a fleet of airplanes were abandoned during World War II in Greenland and found fifty years later buried in 260 feet of ice!

Ice sheets don’t form just one layer per year. And in the past, after Noah’s flood, layers formed very quickly.
