My dermatologist today said that my finger looked well, except that it was bent downward at the first knuckle. He advised that I should exercise my finger several times a day to break the scar tissue, like making a fist, and trying to straighten out my finger with my other hand numerous times. Inside, my finger continues to hurt like a paper cut as it heals.
