Welcome!
I’m Bub Kuns, and today we’re talking about family time again.
Most Christians say that family time is important, but how many would also say that family time around GOD’S WORD is important? The answer may surprise you.
Research by the Barna Group found that only TEN PERCENT of evangelicals read the Bible with their families during a given week. THAT MEANS NINETY PERCENT DON’T!
But setting aside time for family Bible reading and prayer can be a great opportunity for families to build stronger relationships with each other — and with the Lord. And instead of being just another chore to do, family devotions can be a time of delight for moms, dads, and kids.
As Pastor Josh Laxton said, “[I]f done consistently, over time, parents will find that family devotions will be an investment that shapes both the heart of your child(ren) and you.” (Laxton, Josh. “F.A.M.I.L.Y. Devotions.”JoshLaxton.com, 13 Oct. 2015, /10/13/f-a-m-i-l-y-devotions/?utm_source=chatgpt.com”>https://joshlaxton.com/2015/10/13/f-a-m-i-l-y-devotions/)
Now, what are the virtues that every Christian should possess? We’ll talk about that next time.
